Comments: From the start, we have been very pleased with the timeliness, professionalism, and quality of work from Paul and his team. We needed to have our front steps built in wood, as it would have been too costly to rebuild them in concrete. I was needing the work done pretty quickly as we had the old concrete steps removed and w/o access to our front door for some time. Paul called me back the next business day, and was able to come out to give an estimate that week. (Other contractors were not even returning my calls, and I even had one person come out and promise me an estimate who never followed up with me, after me reaching out multiple times.) I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted the stairs to look like, and he was able to show me a previous job that was exactly what I wanted. He was also able to give me a ballpark right away, which I appreciated. Paul provided 2 different estimates as I requested, with and without railings, and both were very reasonable. We ended up going with the railings and are so satisfied with how it all looks- we have gotten many compliments on our new stairs and will definitely hire again for other needed work in the future. Another thing I wanted to mention is that Paul is so responsive!! I was very happy with the check-ins and quick responses to my emails. He and Sam were also working very hard to ensure they job was done quickly, and even stayed late into the evening. Bottom line--great quality work, great customer service, and has a very satisfied customer who would hire again! Wish I could upload a picture, we are so happy with how it all looks!

Comments: Sterling did a great job installing a cabinet in one bathroom, replacing mirrors in two bathrooms, installing additional shelving in my garage, installing drapery rods in three rooms (I may need their help again once I am ready to hang the drapes). Both men were courteous, clean, and thought through and mapped the task before installing. They listened well and quietly carried through. They represented a good clean business very well. I would hire again and recommend them for large range of projects. I believe they will be honest with you about their expertise and they are definitely competitively priced.

Comments: I had several jobs that needed to be completed, from installing new storm doors to re-fitting existing doors, to replacing trim on my garage doors. I did a search and happened upon Sterling Building and Restoration which happened to be just a block away oddly enough. I can't say enough about Paul and his co-worker that completed the job. They do great work on-time, at a fair price. They exceeded all expectations, even with obstacles that came up in the process. They are proffessional, considerate and a real pleasure to work with. It's clear they take pride in their work and take pride in the quality of their work. I will definitely hire them again and would strongly recommend them to my friends and family without hesitation.

Comments: I live in a very old south Minneapolis home and unfortunately, the door size isn't standards for todays doors. So when I needed to replace one, I hired Paul Sterling to come out and extend the height of my door way to accommodate a modern door. Him and his partner came out and did the job in a few short hours! They're very polite, down to earth, and cared enough to check with me before doing anything extra. I would hire them again in a hear beat!

Comments: Sterling Building Restoration did an excellent job removing my old interior doors, and installing new doors. Sterling also did painting and general remodeling at my condo. Work was of very high quality. They paid attention to detail. Also they showed up on time. Furthermore Paul Sterling and staff were polite and courteous. Paul very good at problem-solving.. Pricing was fair. Didn't overprice.

Comments: Our house is a three story victorian built in 1898. Paul and his colleagues not only did a great job preparing and painting, they did a great deal of restoration work, including fabricating unique detailing, repairing rotten wood surfaces, replacing cracked windows, etc. In the middle of the project, they had to repair our kitchen ceiling after a heating system backup caused water to pour through. These guys were responsive, thoughtful and polite. Their charges were very fair, given the size of the job.

Comments: His work was great, as he went above and beyond what I expected he would do. My husband and I are on fixed incomes so cost is a huge factor and Sterling Building service charge was very reasonable.and affordable. I am still awaiting for him to do another small project but I did tell Steve that I wasn't in a huge hurry. I hope he call me soon at which time I know I will give him five stars on each count. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIS SERVICES.
